On February 28th, WMU Healthy Lifestyles, Calhoun and Kalamazoo County Special Olympics and the AMBUCS Clubs of District B3 (Kalamazoo, Alive After Five, and Battle Creek) officially announced the program. This collaboration will allow numerous Special Olympians to be fitted for AmTrykes. At the event , covered by WWMT TV, we introduced several additional Companies to AMBUCS and the AmBility/AmTryke program.

This is a pilot program that, if successful, will be duplicated throughout the state of Michigan, the region and other regions and eventually nationally.
What's in it for the sponsors?
WWMT is doing a three-month story arc on the Special Olympians who receive the bikes. They will follow them from selection and fitting, to getting the bikes, their training and finally their participation at the Michigan Special Olympics at this summers games.
